Creating Techlery

Creating Techlery/ The Method

Step 1: Get ideas
·         Look at different pictures of readymade jewellery with tech.
·         Look at pieces of jewellery that I already have.
·         Look at jewellery at the store.

Step 2: Decide on materials
We won’t be using pearls or beads but small pieces of tech. This includes:
·         Keys (from a keyboard)
·         Motherboard (cut into small pieces)
·         Sim card (cut into small pieces)
·         Wire
·         String
·         Batteries
·         Chain
·         Clasps

Step 3: Sketch the image
I will need to plan what size it will be, what it will look like, etc.

Step 4: Gather the resources
Get the Wire, Chain, Clasps, String, Etc. Get it from a local craft store or supermarket. I will get the rest of the resources from tech around my house.

Step 5: Get the correct tools
I will need:
  • Pliers (nylon jaw pliers, round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, and bent chain nose pliers.)
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters

I have some of this lying around my house but the rest I will need to get from a local craft store or supermarket.
Step 6: Bend the wires to the shape I desire
Whether it is a loop or a straight line, I need to make it into the shape I need.

Step 7: Attach clasps and other resources

Following the design from step 3, I will but on the resources in order and design I wish. Finally, when all the stuff are on, I will add the clasps.
